An Easy Kids Activity – Ear Bud Painting

Since school holidays has begun, I am always on the hunt for activities that will suit my 8 year old son Tahlin and my 2 1/2 year old daughter Zahladee. Since my father is an retired Art Lecture I have plenty of memories of many crafty activities I did when I was a little girl. I remember doing this one on many occasions and thought it was a great activity that would suit both of them. So yesterday since I had everything on hand I set them up to do this easy activity of Ear Bud painting.

What you will need:

  • Some everyday Ear Buds (Cotten Tips)
  • Water colour paints
  • Water
  • Something to put the paint in. It doesn’t have to be a paint pallet like I used it can even be a ice cube tray.
  • Water colour paper or even normal print paper will do.

Then all you have to do is mix up the paints and add the Ear buds ready for the kids to create their art on the paper. The Ear Buds are great for dot painting or lines.

This is when I had some quiet time when the kids were into their painting.

I highly recommend this one for the School Holidays, if you have children on the younger side.

Here is just one of many the kids created.
